Sandy Peckinpah was inspired to write her first book, Rosey the Imperfect Angel, after the birth of her daughter, Julianne, in 1989. The fairy tale for children with special needs was published in 1993 and it immediately caught the attention of news media throughout the country. Sandy, her book, and her daughter toured all over the country to appear on numerous national television talk shows, national morning news shows, radio programs and newspaper interviews, as well as public speaking engagements throughout the United States. Her second book, Chester the Imperfect All Star followed with the same media attention. The books went on to be used by hospitals, clinics, and special needs charities for several years.
In addition to writing,
Her recent book, “Fairy Tale Life…Interrupted” reveals her experiences and revelations she and her family faced when her daughter was born with a cleft. It is insightful and helpful for those facing the same challenges.
Sandy furthered her passion for writing in her collaboration with her life long friend, noted
